Privacy Policy

We are in the business of discretion. Here is what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

  • What we collect. When you buy a piece, reserve a diamond, enquire, book a consultation, or join our waitlist, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, phone number if you share it, delivery details when you order, and the details of what you're looking for — occasion, budget, timeline. Our website records the ordinary technical data most websites do (device, browser, pages visited) to keep the site working and understand how it's used.
  • Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. Where instalment plans (Klarna or Afterpay, through Stripe) are offered on catalogue-tier orders and you choose one, the information you give that provider is governed by their privacy policy; we receive only what's needed to fulfil your order. Your card number never touches our servers — it goes directly to the processor, who is bound by their own strict security and privacy obligations.
  • Why we collect it. To take your order, source and make what you've asked for, deliver and insure it, honour our guarantee afterward, and meet legal obligations such as tax and anti-fraud requirements. If you've joined the waitlist or asked to hear from us, we may write to you about the house — rarely, and worth opening. You can opt out at any time, and we'll still love you.
  • How we measure the site. We use Plausible, a privacy-first analytics service, to count visits and understand which pages matter. It uses no cookies and stores no personal information — which is why you see no cookie banner here. We also keep our own log of anonymous events on the site (a page viewed, a stone saved, a consultation booked) tied to a random, meaningless session number that expires when you close the tab. None of it identifies you, none of it follows you across the web, and none of it is shared with advertisers. There is no session recording of any kind.
  • What we never do. We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with advertisers. A private house does not gossip about its guests.
  • Who we share it with. Only the parties needed to serve you: Stripe and your chosen financing provider to take payment, couriers and insurers to deliver your piece, grading laboratories where certification requires it, and the service providers who run our website and email — each bound to use your information only for that work. And authorities, if the law requires it.
  • How long we keep it. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted within a reasonable period. Records of sales are kept as long as tax and warranty obligations require. Waitlist and mailing details are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Your rights. You may ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except what the law requires us to keep). We comply with Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA; if you are elsewhere — including the EU or UK — we honour the access, correction, and deletion rights of your jurisdiction. Write to us and we'll respond within 30 days.
  • Security. Your information is stored on access-controlled systems and shared internally only with the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfect; ours is treated with the same care as the stones.
