Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These terms govern your use of dagaria.com and any purchase from Dagarias. Using the site or placing an order means you accept them. They're written to be read.

  1. Who we are. Dagarias is a private fine diamond house operating from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
  2. Orders. Catalogue pieces and loose diamonds are purchased through checkout on this site; your order exists when payment (or an approved financing plan) is confirmed, and we confirm it to you in writing with your timeline. Custom and Crown commissions work differently: they begin with a written quote covering the design, stone, full price, deposit, and lead time, and exist as orders once you approve the quote and pay the deposit. Reserving an item without payment places no obligation on you and simply asks us to hold it and contact you.
  3. Pricing. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. For catalogue purchases, the price at checkout is the price. For custom work, the price in your written quote is the price, held for the period stated on it. Diamond markets move, so unpurchased site prices may change, and we correct obvious pricing errors — but we will never change the price of an order you've already placed.
  4. Payment & financing. We accept payment by card and other methods offered at checkout, processed by Stripe. Instalment plans may be offered at checkout; whether a plan is available for a given purchase is determined by the payment provider — your region, the amount, and the provider's approval — not by us. For pieces beyond direct checkout, payment terms are discussed privately in consultation. An instalment plan is an agreement between you and that provider, on their terms — we don't set your instalments, and missed payments are governed by the provider's terms, not ours. Your statutory rights against us are unaffected by how you choose to pay.
  5. Certification & descriptions. Every diamond we sell carries a grading report from an independent laboratory. The grades are the laboratory's, not ours, and we present them as issued. We take care that photographs and descriptions are accurate; minor variations between an image and a finished piece — especially in made-to-order work and in how metals render on screens — are inherent to the craft. Where imagery shows a different metal than selected, the written specification governs.
  6. Returns, trade-up & aftercare. Per our Returns & The Guarantee policy, which forms part of these terms: standard catalogue pieces and loose curated stones carry a 30-day right to return for a full refund (unworn, original condition, certification intact); custom and Crown commissions are non-refundable once production begins. Natural stones purchased from us carry a lifetime trade-up credit — 100% of the original stone price toward any natural stone priced at least 2x the original, one active trade at a time; trade-up is not offered on lab-grown stones. House pieces are entitled to free annual inspection, cleaning, and re-tip checks for the life of the piece.
  7. Delivery. Per our Shipping & Delivery policy, which forms part of these terms. International recipients are responsible for import duties and local taxes.
  8. Our guarantee. If a stone does not match its independent grading report, or a setting fails through no fault of wear, we repair, replace, or refund. This guarantee is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
  9. Your conduct. You agree not to misuse the site: no scraping our catalogue, no interfering with the site's operation, no using our imagery or text without permission.
  10. Intellectual property. The Dagarias name, our product names, stories, photographs, and site content belong to us or our licensors. Looking is encouraged; taking is not.
  11. Liability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  12. Privacy. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
  13. Changes. We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it.
  14. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Any dispute belongs to the courts of British Columbia — though we'd rather you simply write to us first; nearly everything can be made right faster that way.
